Business verification and badge-use terms
Version 2026-09-13
What the check means
We review business identity and its relationship to a named website, marketplace shop or public contact channel. We record the checked scope, date and review deadline. This is not product certification, a safety assessment, an installation guarantee, an endorsement of workmanship or an official accreditation.
Checks and factual corrections are available independently of payment. A listing without this check can still appear in comparisons. Product and supplier claims require their own evidence.
Using the toolkit
Current use requires a valid business check, active Premium access (including an eligible trial), accepted terms and badge issuance being enabled. The assets are licensed only to the named business, for its own website, emails, quotations and permitted promotional material. Do not transfer the badge, change its wording, remove its scope or use it to imply certification.
Always link the website badge to its exact verification page. Put the verification link beside static images, email signatures and printed quotations. Keep the supplied proportions and readable scope text.
Changes and ending use
Tell us promptly if the business identity, trading-channel control or verified details change. We may withdraw a factual check when evidence no longer supports it. Review expiry also ends current verification until renewed.
Stop new badge use and remove it from channels you control when Premium access ends, the check expires or is revoked, the licence is withdrawn, or these conditions are no longer met. Subscription cancellation does not remove already-paid access before the applicable paid-through date. It does not erase an accurate historical check.
A downloaded image or printed quote cannot be remotely recalled. The live verification page is the reference for current status. Do not distribute an outdated badge as if it remains current. Badge use does not guarantee traffic, ranking, leads or sales.
Evidence and reports
Supporting identity evidence and reviewer notes stay within authorised company and administrator access. Public pages show only the approved public identity, channel and status information. Submit no passwords, bank details or customer records. Reports about errors or misuse are reviewed privately; submitting a report does not automatically revoke a business check.
